VISUAL EDUCATION
Teaching | Visual Perception Experimental | Concepts and Test
Over the years of study and work, both as a teacher and as a creative, I have evolved a personal research, and experimental analysis of the creative process on the combination, often synergistic and rarely independently, between the two protagonists of the cognitive process in the Visual Arts, the eyes and the brain.
As a teacher of Visual Arts, by developing methods and tests on different students during the school and academic years, I recognize as a fundamental key of learning, practical or expressive, deepening teaching in the educational dialogue of the cognitive process.
In general terms, a philosophical approach to the practical process.
In practical terms, think with your eyes and see with the brain.
The eyes and the brain are connected organs among themselves, but engaged in completely different tasks, the brain does not see, and the eyes does not think.
In the development of the creative process related to the visual arts, like drawing, the brain play a role at times intrusive on the visual field, much to subject it to own experience.
The approach to the creative process combined with the study of the cognitive process, is intended to be a teaching/training for the brain and the sight of a consciousness and understanding of their roles in the processes, united with one another in the practice.
Draw what you see and not what you think you see.
Many and important studies evolved already in the past on this subject starting from the Theory of Gestalt arriving at Kaniza and Metelli.
This wants to be a light contribution to the research, within practical trials in the educational level, on new approaches and educational methods.

Perceptive Application
TEST 01
Draw (or contouring) and describe in words what you see or simply perceive in the images for each case A, B, C, D, A. One or more image details, small or big part of the total.
This test simply wants to demonstrate how the Brain manages, in some cases, to play an invasive role on perception in recognizing shapes or subjects that actually do not exist.
Repeat and share the test as you wish and discover your and others perception.
